Simple, reliable and cost effective, probably the nicest little lamp available for the price. Built on brand new, unused, stock headsets. Now with increased burn time times and new style plugs same as EcoStar Switch position #1 gives a tight spot main beam of approximately 125 to 150 lumens. It is a very well defined beam with very good throw and similar to the excellent Fenix TK11 on non turbo mode. See pictures. The 2 cell Li Ion will enable this to rum for 7 to 8 hours. Switch position #2 This gives a much broader spread of light again of about 125 to 150 lumens. Current draw. 700 mA on either position. Recharges through standard Oldham charger, or one of our 4V multi chargers, or one of our 4 volt 'thro the headset' chargers. The LED module is easily removable and mounts on the positive terminal block at the bottom, and the old pilot mounting screw holes via adaptor posts at the top. Heat produced is dissipated into the pre-existing lamp metalwork Battery is your choice but the tiny 2 cell helmet pack will give you about 7 hours on either lamp. We now do a special 4 X AA battery holder with inbuilt short circuit protection for £8. A WorkStar Pro ran for over 4 hours on this with a bright output, and then continued to run for hours after on a reduced output.
Above is a slightly battered Petzl helmet with the nice shiny new lamp mounted, a neat little package. The main advantages of this lamp is its low cost and weight, it possibly weighs slightly less than the unmodified Oldham headset! Package #1 £70 plus £4 p and p using one of our stock new headsets as described. TOTAL £74 Package #2 £90 plus £9 p and p as above #1 but including one of our dual channel dedicated chargers. TOTAL £99 DEDUCT £15 from either of the above for a conversion of your existing good condition Oldham headset.
