 See in colour who is at your door on your TV screen, and also hear what they are saying. Wireless camera half size of a matchbox uses either 9 volt smoke alarm battery or mains. Tuneable receiver connects to your TV or VCR, simply change channel to “F-AV” which means front AV from your TV remote control. It can also be connected to a computer using a video capture card. For a shop or whatever, buy a cheap second hand telly.

#2/ Network Camera, connects to a computer network system

These are fully enclosed in a water resistant clear plastic cover and suitable for outside use.

Requires RJ45 Ethernet connection and 240 volt 13 amp socket. Works via ordinary Ethernet hub or switch or ADSL multi-port router

You can have as many cameras as you like, you view the images from Internet explorer. Each camera has a built in web server, so you switch to it using its local IP address, you can add this to your favourites so you don't have to remember complicated numbers. Please note that these are NOT ordinary web cams that can be purchased for a tenner!

It comes with a software installation disk. You can set it up however you like, leave it switched and configured to save snapshots at regular intervals, or when triggered by motion detection.
